If you follow me on social media you know that I just made a special trip up to the Bay Area to support Innovate Public School leaders, but I also made a pit stop at the Altschool (the country’s leading lab school in personalization) first. I was dying to see what personalization looks like in action-sign up for CraftED’s newsletter to find out what I learned!
 

What is Personalization? 

Personalization is about creating an individualized and dynamic learning plan for every child in your classroom. While educators often mistake personalization with a very loose education model-assuming it’s drive (“run”) by students, but it actually has a good amount of structure to it: daily schedules, weekly goals, focused student instructional groups, teaching and learning rooted in standards and assessment.
