I am often asked “How do I keep students (and myself!) organized  in projects?” Here are a few tips to help you stay sane and also allow students to drive their own learning:

  • Scrum boards can be helpful are a best practice in PBL. Check out this great article for how to make one in your classroom.
  • High Tech High uses digital portfolios (basic google sites work great for this) for students to organize their work and reflect on their learning. I would go no more than a week without having them upload and reflect. You can use the blog feature or the file cabinet feature for this. For samples visit here.

  • Project walls are a a best practice for ALL grades in PBL. Your project wall should include all the important information, resources and student work associated with your current project. Check out these pictures I found in a basic internet search:
