Project Title: Creating Harmony in Home

Grades: 5th-8th

Duration: 2 weeks

Enduring Understanding: Connecting the past to present through architecture 

Driving Question: How might we apply ideas from Ancient India to modern architecture to conduct our very own Extreme Makeover and educate those who may be interested about the process, possibilities and potential?

  • Blog for Houzz
  • QR codes for real estate agent open house (home or office)
  • Class architecture coffee table book published 
  • Video for kids on how to reimagine their bedrooms, study area for distance learning

  • Show Extreme Home Makeover
  • Show pictures of contemporary architecture and compare to ancient-do Visible Thinking Routine re: noticings 
  • Intro Vastu-the ancient system of architecture and design to make homes places of healing. 
  • Capture K/NTKs
