CraftED is crazy about Rosie Revere, Engineer for early deeper learners. What better way to lay the foundation for younger children then by sharing this creative and inspiring story with them!

Throughout the many lessons of failure and perseverance Rosie learns a great deal about herself. Use this text as a springboard for discussion and reflection on any of the following topics:

  • Celebrating wild and creative ideas
  • Being open to new possibilities
  • Being unique
  • Persistence
  • Failure-the only failure is giving up
  • Grit
  • Growth mindset
  • Belief and confidence in oneself -abilities and ideas

Thinking frames:

To be used directly after reading, later in the week or later in a unit.

These reflections/connections can occur through exit tickets, warm ups, journal responses, or think-pair-share discussions.imgres-1
