A note from Jenny:

I designed this quick guide wearing both my teacher and parent cap. I found that the more I shared my PBL journey with friends, the more comfortable they became asking questions about their child’s’ learning experiences in school. Through conversations I often discovered that my parent-friends didn’t feel informed or included in the new wave of standards and progressive approaches to teaching and learning. Learned helplessness sometimes, anger and hostility toward their school system other times, or yearning for a better experience for their child in school. We (parents, students and educators) must work together to take our students to the next level of learning-we must be very clear about each of our roles, openly communicate expectations, push for improvement,  and learn alongside one another as partners to create the best possible chance for our students to flourish in their future endeavors! I hope this quick guide gives you the tools you need to start making that happen!

Keep Digging Deep~
